This is taking too long…how about going faster?

So, what about those times when you want to get in shape pronto, like before spring break or prom? Is it okay to hike your level of activity way up if you’re on a deadline?

Unfortunately, no. Overworking yourself can damage your muscles, joints, and bones (which would definitely keep you off the dance floor and out of the swimming pool). Cut yourself a break instead. If it’s that important to get in shape by a certain date, give yourself enough time to do it properly.
