BUT ISN’T WALKING KIND OF BORING?
Not the way we do it. Here are three ways to keep it fun.
1. MUSIC (or Podcasts, Audio Books): If you’re walking alone, take a music player and note how many songs or podcasts you’ll need to fill your walking quota. When your playlist is done, so is your exercise for the day.
2. DO IT WITH OTHERS: Find a partner or group of people to walk with you. Your walking partner(s) should be able to walk with you on the same schedule and at the same speed. Or join a walking club. Check out our resources section on the next page to see where you can join.
3. TRACK YOUR PROGRESS: Use a walking journal or log and watch yourself succeed. The President’s Challenge Page has a free online tracker here.
