Everyone is different when it comes to physical activity. Some girls live for sports, some would rather take an extra math course than participate in gym class, and some fall somewhere in between. Not everyone is a fitness nut–and we get that–but it’s important to stay active. You don’t have to be MVP on your school’s lacrosse team, but it is important to get moving.

Whatever your level of activity may be, stepping it up a few notches can have major benefits (check out Start Here if you don‘t believe us). It’s important to take it at your own pace, though.

If you spend most of your day relaxing with a book or watching TV after school, you probably shouldn’t dive into a hardcore aerobics session. The key to getting fit without exhausting or hurting yourself is taking it step by step.
