Caitlin Crosby Thinks “Flawed” Is Beautiful
By Fitsmi February 3

You might have heard singer-songwriter Caitlin Crosby’s first single Still Have My Heart on the radio, but have you heard about her new project, Love Your Flawz? It’s all about rejecting the unrealistic ideals we see in magazines (like super thin models and airbrushed celebrities) and embracing the things you or society stereotype as flaws–whether it’s scars, crazy hair, knobby knees, or whatever.

“We made this website as a way to recondition out brains into thinking positively,” says Brie Larson, Caitlin’s friend and co-founder of Love Your Flawz. Caitlin chimes in, “We want to re-brainwash ourselves and everybody who comes to the site with all good, positive stuff about who you are and what makes you unique.”

Check out their video to hear what else they have to say about the revolution:

Love Your Flawz is the companion project to Caitlin’s album Flawz. The video for the title track and first single is a compilation of hundreds of people celebrating what makes them unique (keep an eye out for celebs like Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jordin Sparks):

If you’re as into Caitlin’s campaign as we are, get involved by submitting your own rant, poem, story, or thoughts on body image. You can see what other people are submitting on the Love Your Flawz blog.

What do you think about stars like Caitlin Crosby and Tyra Banks‘ efforts to re-define beauty?
