Fad Diet? No Thank You
By July 7

If there’s one thing to be careful of, it’s the fad diet. Not only do these programs promise quick results in a short amount of time, they also tell you to avoid certain food groups or spend money on their nutrition bars and shakes.

Growing bodies need nutrients from all the different food groups, so it’s not a good idea to cut anything out. Also, nutritional bars and shakes are fine once in a while, but they don’t replace the benefits and fun of eating real food. The key to eating healthy is to focus on getting enough fruits and vegetables, lean protein, and low-fat dairy throughout the day.

What do you think? Have you ever tried a fad diet?
