Easy Ways To Track What You Eat
By February 22

Keeping track of the food you eat every day can be important if you want to eat healthy, but let’s face it, sometimes you’re just too busy to jot down every meal and snack. By the time you reach for your food diary, you might not recall everything you ate.

But don’t give up logging your food just because you dropped the ball a few times. You just have to find a system that’s convenient for you. Here are some ideas to help you stick to tracking your grub, even on the go:

Downsize your food journal to a travel-size notepad. Keep it in your purse or pocket so you always have it on hand.

Text message yourself after everything you eat, then update your journal when you have time. “Hey, future me. Don’t forget about that brownie you ate earlier!”

Wear Habitwise bracelets to keep track of what you’re eating. They’re color coded to represent different food groups, calories and other nutritional info. Start your day with a collection of beaded bracelets on one wrist, then switch the appropriate color and number of bracelets to the other hand after every meal and snack. Now if only they made these for birthdays and school assignments…

Get on the Fitsmi plan (This one’s a no-brainer!). You can track not only what you eat, but your minutes moved. And if you forget to log anything, you can always go back and fill it in later.
